Why isn't my weather alarm going off?

Make sure:

  • Notifications are enabled in your phone's Settings → BluMnt
  • The alarm is toggled ON in the app's Notifications settings
  • Your phone isn't in Do Not Disturb mode during the alarm time
  • You've granted location permissions so we can check your local conditions
The forecast doesn't match what I'm seeing outside

Weather in the Blue Ridge region can vary significantly over short distances due to elevation and terrain. Our forecasts come from the National Weather Service. If conditions are rapidly changing, the forecast may lag by 30-60 minutes.

How do I change my location?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Terms → Open Location Settings. You can adjust location permissions there. The app works best with "Always" location access for accurate weather alarms.

Can I use this app outside Jefferson County?

While the weather features will work anywhere in the US (via National Weather Service), the traffic updates, community chat, and local sports features are specifically designed for Jefferson County, WV.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Terms → Clear All Data. This will permanently delete your account, posts, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

How do I cancel my premium subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play, not through our app:

  • iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → BluMnt → Cancel
  • Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → BluMnt → Cancel
The traffic map isn't loading

Traffic data requires an internet connection. Check that you're connected to WiFi or cellular data. If the issue persists, try force-closing and reopening the app.

BluMnt was built by a lifetime Jefferson County resident who wanted a local hub app that actually served our community. This is an independent project, not backed by a corporation or venture capital.
